OT-Selected Movement Tools for Sensory Seekers
A dedicated place for big movement won't make the energy disappear — but it can move it off the couch and into something built for it.
Movement that looks chaotic is often exactly what a child's body is asking for: climbing, jumping, spinning, and swinging all feed the systems that help the body know where it is and how it's moving. Give that need a structured outlet, and a lot of the furniture-climbing has somewhere better to go.

Quick Guide: Choosing the Right Movement Tool
Which one should I start with if I can only pick one?
The Vestibular Therapy Swing is the most flexible single option — it fits almost any room with one ceiling point and covers both big movement and calming input. If space and budget allow for more, add a crash pad or balance board next.
My child needs a lot of movement, but I have very little space.
Start with the balance board or the swing (one ceiling point is all it needs) rather than the jungle gym or trampoline, which both need dedicated floor space.
What if it doesn't work for my child?
We offer a 30-day return window on eligible items — see our Refund Policy for full details. If you're unsure before buying, our team can help you choose during a consultation.

Earl's OT Note
When a child turns furniture into a launch pad, that's rarely defiance — it's a body looking for movement input it isn't getting anywhere else. Give that need a dedicated, safe place to happen, and a lot of the couch-climbing has somewhere better to go.
"We truly cannot say enough good things about Sensory Therapy Place. Our son has been coming here for a while now... the progress he has made has been nothing short of incredible. The atmosphere is so calming the moment you walk in. It doesn't feel clinical or overwhelming. It feels safe."
