We don't chase behavior. We address the nervous system underneath it. Every pediatric OT plan at our Brewer clinic combines four clinical pillars.
Retained primitive reflexes — like the Moro reflex and ATNR — interfere with learning, posture, and emotional regulation. We assess and integrate them through intentional, evidence-based movement sequences.
Learn about primitive reflex integration →Sensory-motor integration therapy helps children process and respond to sensory input in a more organized and regulated way. Our Brewer clinic provides clinic-grade vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile equipment.
Read our Sensory Integration guide →Vestibular, proprioceptive, and tactile input — swings, crash pads, deep pressure — every activity at Sensory Therapy Place is intentional and supports nervous system regulation.
Regulation doesn't end in the therapy room. We teach caregivers calming protocols, sensory strategies, and home tools they can use every day. Parents are part of the clinical team.
Sensory Therapy Place is more than one person. Our Brewer clinic is staffed by five dedicated occupational therapists — each with a specialty — working under the same neurodevelopmental framework.

"The atmosphere is so calming the moment you walk in. It doesn't feel clinical or overwhelming — it feels safe. The knowledge this team has is impeccable. They truly understand what they're doing and, more importantly, they understand our child. He's not always the easiest to work with, but they meet him with grace, patience, and genuine understanding. They never make us feel judged or discouraged — only supported."— Parent of a client · Google Review · Brewer, Maine
