Primary Setting
Home — playroom, kitchen, or a dedicated activity corner
Functional Goal
Contained tactile sensory bin play with an easy flip to a quiet drawing/writing surface for fine motor practice and focus

What's Included

1 wooden sensory activity table frame, 2 removable plastic sensory bins, 1 reversible whiteboard/chalkboard tabletop lid. Basic assembly required (legs attach to the frame). Fill materials and drawing tools not included.

Dimensions & Materials

Solid wood frame; table measures approx. 29.1"L x 20.8"W x 20.5"H. Two removable bins, approx. 11.6"W x 11.7"L x 3.8"D each. Tabletop rated to hold up to 66 lbs (30 kg).

Cleaning

Bins lift out for easy rinsing with soap and water; air dry before placing back in the frame. Wipe the whiteboard side clean with a dry-erase cloth; erase the chalkboard side with a dry or lightly damp cloth. Wipe the wood frame with a damp cloth only — do not submerge.

Safety & supervision: Always supervise sensory bin play. Choose fill materials appropriate for your child's age, and avoid small or loose fill (dried beans, rice, small toys) with children who still mouth objects, due to choking hazard. Place on a flat, stable indoor surface. Do not allow a child to stand, sit, or climb on the tabletop. Keep chalk and markers away from children who may put them in their mouth.
OT Perspective

Sensory bin play offers graded, contained tactile input — scooping, pouring, and digging give sensory-seeking kids purposeful hand-use, while enclosed bins make it easier for tactile-defensive kids to opt in gradually. Flipping the lid to the drawing side channels that same tabletop time into fine motor and visual-motor practice, which is why we like this as a flexible first sensory-table purchase rather than a single-use toy.
