Booking a pediatric OT evaluation at Sensory Therapy Place takes one of three paths: have your child's primary care physician fax an insurance referral to our HIPAA-secured line at 207-945-8089, choose self-pay ($150 for a single evaluation or $499.99 for our 4-visit Foundation Plan), or start immediately with a parent coaching telehealth call. Self-pay families can begin right away; insurance referrals receive a confirmation within 1–2 business days. All three pathways lead to the same comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluation at our Brewer, Maine clinic, or via telehealth nationwide.

We send digital intake paperwork at your own pace: developmental history, sensory questionnaire, and consent forms. This helps your assigned Sensory Therapy Place pediatric OT prepare a meaningful, personalized first session.
Your child's first visit includes a primitive reflex screening, sensory processing assessment, motor development review, and parent interview — led by Earl Mamaril, MS, OTR/L, or a member of our clinical team. We find the nervous system reason behind the behaviors.

The evaluation takes 60 to 90 minutes and is led by Earl Mamaril, MS, OTR/L, or a member of our clinical team. Parents leave with a written care plan and concrete next steps.

Sensory Therapy Place offers three pathways: insurance with a PCP referral (coverage varies by plan), self-pay at $150 per single evaluation, or our STP Foundation Plan at $499.99 for four visits (saves $100). HSA and FSA funds are eligible with the superbills we provide. All three pathways receive the same comprehensive neurodevelopmental evaluation.
