Meet the Team — Sensory Therapy Place

Our team

Five specialists. One mission.

Sensory Therapy Place is more than one person — it's a team of five dedicated professionals who show up every day to help children and families understand and support the developing nervous system. Every team member is here because they believe in this work — and in every family we serve.

👨‍⚕️
Founder & Lead OT

Earl Mamaril

Pediatric Occupational Therapist, OTR/L
“I became an OT because I saw how much a parent’s understanding of their child’s nervous system can change everything. When you understand the ‘why,’ the guilt goes away — and the real work begins. Sensory Therapy Place exists to put that clinical knowledge in your hands.”

Earl founded Sensory Therapy Place in Brewer, Maine with a clear mission: bridge the gap between the OT clinic and the family home. He specializes in sensory processing, primitive reflex integration, neurodevelopmental assessment, and trauma-informed pediatric care. He works closely with parents to turn clinical insight into practical daily strategies.

New Team Member

Ms. Rachel is the newest addition to our growing team, bringing fresh OT expertise and infectious energy to the clinic. She shares the same core belief as every Sensory Therapy Place team member: every child’s nervous system deserves to be understood — not just managed.

What we believe

Every team member at Sensory Therapy Place is aligned around a shared set of values that guide every session, every product recommendation, and every parent conversation.

🧠
Nervous system first
We don't treat behaviors — we address the nervous system underneath them. Understanding the root cause changes everything.
👨‍👩‍👧
Parents as partners
You're not a bystander in your child's therapy. You're part of the team. We teach you what to do at home — every single session.
🌱
Progress over perfection
Nervous system development is not linear. We celebrate every step forward and adjust the plan when life gets complicated.
